Portrait of a Girl

by M.GUICHI

Lost in all-night thougts and wonderment, immersed in utter delusions, try as he would he
could not get rid of her angelical image that predominated over his imagination, touching
the privacy of his own solitude.

Her infantile countenance, reveals a certain kind of femininity. Her wide hazel eyes, with tall eyelashes sends out a shy glances full of love, and makes her cheekbones glow with a soft ruddiness due to her excessive bashfulness. While, her overbearingly straight nose seems to show a kind of pride, and her glassy red mouth; with an obvious beauty spot crowning beneath it, glitters with a lifelong smile, and giving her nicely chiseled face more attraction, and grace. Her chestnut hair, pulled back and tied behind her head in a ponytail makes her look girlish .As her charmingly plump body takes up men's whole attention, and enables her to gain more self-respect.

He was conspicuously infatuated by her, an infatuation felt by the adolescents, that hold strongly to the latest fads for fashion or music. He loved her gait, her way she contemplates things,
and adored her more, when she speaks so slowly. The whole what she is mythicizes her, and endears her more to him .

The White Elephant

by M.GUICHI

The villagers were flocking to discuss a matter that tormented them, and made life intolerable in the village. The king's white elephant ruined nearly, half of the farmers' lands , and caused a great damage on the villagers' houses. So, people have had enough of this situation ,and wanted to put an end once and for all to this problem ."If it were not his Majesty the king's pet animal, I would burn this elephant alive."Said one of the villagers in a loud voice ."And throw its cremains in the river." Said another one from the crowd proudly. Every one was singing his own song without giving any effective outcome. Suddenly, a man appeared from the crowd giving a suggestion :

"Why do not we send someone to the king explaining to him what happened to the village because of his elephant, and try to convince him to give us a reliable solution." Every body kept reticent about what they heard.People did not want to get into trouble with the king and risk their life. For, it is rumoured that the king is pitiless ,and strict in his sentence especially, against anyone that commits an illegal or subversive action, and any rebellion deserves a severe punishement which is death.

Seeing that no one wants to take on the responsibility, the man gave another suggestion:"we'll meet tomorrow morning to go to the king's castle, and I will be your intermediary to the king." The man chose to speak for all the villagers, which seemed a good idea for them .

In the morning, all were as planned heading for the king's castle. Meanwhile, the news rapidly reached the king.He was informed that the villagers revolted agaist him, and that it is an attempt for a coup to oust him from the throne. The king was angry to hear that, and he immediately, popped his head from the window to see what was happening outside.

The man supposed to speak for the villagers; was standing in front of the main portal of the castle."What do you want?" said the king ."Your majesty ...me and the villagers..." said the man turning behind him; finding himself alone, No body was around .

At that time, he knew that he's been tricked, and he set out to find a subterfuge to get himself out of this mess."Yes your highness..." said the man again ."I came to say that your white elephant needs a female."

'Never trust the words of people in difficulties.'
